The ancient mansion lies in the village of Caglianuzzo. The structure has been obtained from the restoration of the ancient church of San Lorenzo that was located in San Cristoforo a Vagli (Siena) parish. We dispose of very few information about this church except that Henry III, King of Germany and second emperor, gave it to the bishop Giovanni of Siena in 1053, together with the possessions of his mess.

There is a document dated 1250 stating that the church was located in the little village of Cagliano and headed from the Rector Ser Cambio. The XIV century wars and the plague that decimated the population of the region, led to the suppression of San Lorenzo a Caglianuzzo parish, consequently the little church was attached to Vagliagli parish that run it until it was deconsecrated after the war.

Other buildings have been attached to the original structure of the church over the years. A careful work of restoration led to the actual residential mansion.

The ancient mansion is composed of finely restored apartments and rooms that keep the original charm and elegance.

The apartments: they have been obtained from the former church, the dependence and the shed.

The rooms: they are located on the first floor and differ for dimensions and colour but they are all comfortable and refined. All pieces of furniture are of the period in “povera” art style.

The splendid garden: sunny and flowery it offers many common areas where you can discover and appreciate every single coin of Tuscan nature.

The swimming pool: open from May to the end of September, you can have relaxing breakfast on its border.
